This Or That: Colorbar I-Glide Pencils vs Faces Long Wear Pencils

It has always been a bone of contention whether the Colorbar I-Glide Pencils were the ones to go for or whether the Faces Long Wear pencils fare better. Of course both are dear to us beauty bloggers and to all beauty enthusiasts but seriously sometimes even I am at a loss at what I should really go for. Both ranges of pencils have similar shades and similar staying power even on oily lids, so getting confused between the two is an expected deal :)

Hence, I am trying to make an endeavor to make it easier for everyone of us to finally make a decision where these two pencils are concerned :)

Similarities

Staying Power	They have similar staying power. They stay on for more than 8 hours easily.
Performance on Oily Lids	They both stay on and do not transfer or smudge on oily lids. I have super oily lids and I vouch for them both
Texture	Both are super smooth texture-wise and glide on like a dream!
Availability	With Faces stores open nationwide plus with the advent of various online beauty portals, availability of both is not an issue.
Ease of Removal	Both are waterproof but can easily removed with soap or makeup remover. No tugging, no scrubbing :)

Verdict
Though the competition was really close, Faces Long Wear Pencils win by a slight margin mostly on the basis of the cost of the pencils :) Other than that it is super difficult to judge on the better pencil :)

Review & LOTD: Colorbar I-Glide Pencil in Blackout

Colorbar I-Glide Pencil in Blackout

This is going to be a short and sweet post about the blackest of all blacks in eye liner pencils. Colorbar I-Glide pencil in "Blackout" is a jet black liner that does not smudge, does not crease and does not transfer! It's simply perfect for times when you have to put in long hours but do not get the opportunity to touch up your make-up time and again. This is one reason why I find this best for office! :)

I use it as an eye liner on my upper lashline as well as a kajal on my lower waterline.

Definitely! As these pencils are really soft they need to be sharpened frequently and will get over pretty soon... So yup I will buy it again! :)

REVIEW & SWATCHES: Colorbar I-Glide Pencils

I have been really lazy lately, so much so that I have been shelving writing a post about Colorbar's I-glide pencils, can you even imagine that? I-Glide pencils are like these highly respected pencils in the beauty blogosphere, so much so that no Indian beauty blog is complete without at least one post on these pencils, be it a review or even a swatch post. And I had the audacity to actually completely ignore posting about these pencils!!! LOL! But yesterday when my co-sister got me two more of these I-Glide pencils, I knew it was high time I wrote a post about these miracles.

Now if you have been regular on beauty blogs especially the Indian sites, you will have already known that Colorbar has come out with four new shades in these pencils and well don't we beauties just love options? The more the better isn't it? :)

So anyways, the I-Glide pencils that I now own are:

1. Silver Hue 001

2. Prunella 005

3. Flirty Turquoise 007 (new)

4. Coal Mine 009 (new)

There isn't much inroduction that these pencils need. They are super fabulous pencil eye liners that are smudge proof, very smooth and offer very good pigmentation. Anything that I say will be less :)

These pencils are essentially for the upper lashline and I would not recommend using them as a "kajal" on the waterline as they burn and cause irritation if it touches the inside of the eye, but they are perfectly safe for the lashline on the upper lids.

Oooohhss and Aaaahhhss!

1. Highly Pigmented

2. Smudge-proof and does not budge till you really don't want to wash it off with your make-up remover.

3. Does not cause any allergies or reactions.

4. Very creamy and glides on smoothly

5. It is water-proof so crying with these on isn't really an issue!

6. Even though it is in pencil form, it is not made out of wood (I hate wooden eye pencils!). It is made out of some kind of fibre, which doesn't spill gritts in the eyes and also sharpen smoothly.

7. Staying power is really high.

Ouches!

1. It gets blunt pretty fast and needs to be sharpened often, which leads to a lot of product wastage.

2. The price is on the higher side.

Repurchase?

Yes definitely!

Would I Recommend?

This is one pencil that is a must in every girl's vanity case as they are very practical pencils that come in a variety of jewelled shades!

What better way to celebrate a new salary than to go shopping for something you love so dearly and are so passionate about? And yes I sure did celebrate my new
and went shopping! Yay! Honestly? I went to Colorbar to get myself their newly launched Lip Pot but got disappointed when they told me that they haven't yet got
