Chennai's weather is getting sillier day by day. I am currently having a love-hate relationship with the weather over here. Sometimes it is cold, sometimes hot and sometimes, it is raining. The next day it is Mr.sun's rule. Uff :O C'mmon chennai, I want only rain not the sun :( Okay let us come to the topic now. Today, I am going to review the Tips & Toes Dramatic Gel Eyeliner which I got a month ago. I am bored of liquid, pencil and pen eyeliners hence was very excited to try this one when I got it at first. Let me share my experience with this eyeliner with you all in this review.

Tips & Toes Dramatic Gel Eyeliner

What does the Tips & Toes Dramatic Gel Eyeliner Claims?:

Usage Directions:
Dip the brush in the gel provided & apply on the lash line from the inner to outer corner of the eyes.
After every use, clean the brush properly and replace it back.

Results: You get a dark, striking and dramatic look.

My Experience with Tips & Toes Dramatic Gel Eyeliner:

Packaging: This black eye liner comes in a mini glass tub (One rupee coin sized) with a screw open black lid. The lid consists of another sleek screw type opening at the top, where the applicator is located. The brush is flat and is of good quality. The packaging makes the product convenient to use, study and travel friendly. As the brush is stored over the top of the lid itself, it is easy to carry the product anywhere; thus there are less possibilities we miss the brush. This gel eyeliner is placed inside a thin plastic sheeted outer carton. I simply like the packaging; no complaints.

Colour, Consistency, Texture & Pigmentation: This is a dark black gel eyeliner which is creamy, smooth and shine free. Though being smooth and creamy, it settles into a matte finish (but not powdery). The pigmentation part is really good that you only need a single swipe to get that dark black colour.

How it works: I apply this gel eyeliner on my upper lash line as instructed and I could say that the applicator brush makes it easy to use even for gel eyeliner beginners. It dries in a jiffy and hence, no mess. The only thing I felt odd about this eyeliner is the flat and thick brush. Flat is alright for me but the brush is a bit thick thus causing the inability of drawling thin lines on my lash line. However I can use it to line my eyes thick and beautiful for parties and occasions. I haven't tried this over my waterline or lower lash line yet. The staying power of this gel eyeliner impressed me a lot for the price; It stays for 8 hours very well without any fading and after that, fades a little. Sometimes I even manage to wear it 10+ hours and it stays very well. It is water resistant and waterproof as per the claims.
                 Unless you rub your eyes so vigorously when it is wet, it wouldn't fade off at all. Overall, I am happy with this gel eyeliner as it fulfils most of my wishes for an eyeliner. It is dark black, hence suitable for everyday usage. It stays for a long time and doesn't fade due to sweat, hence makes a good rainy season wear as all. Even though the quantity of 2ml is very less, I wouldn't regret buying it for the worth. A single tub would last for 2 months with regular usage. The sooner you finish is better because it might get dried off being a gel liner.

• Water resistant and water proof as claimed
• Stays more than 8 hours without fading
• Doesn't sting eyes
• The applicator brush provided is of good quality
• Settles into a beautiful non-powdery matte finish
• Travel friendly and easy to use packaging

CONS of Tips & Toes Dramatic Gel Eyeliner

• Only one shade available and that is black; I want more shades!
• You cannot draw thin lines with the brush provided, but then it is not a big con for me.

Do I Recommend Tips & Toes Dramatic Gel Eyeliner?: Ofcourse yes! If you are a daily black eyeliner wearer, get one for you and you will love it. Oily eyelids and sweaty people may also like it as it is true to its claims of being waterproof.


Would I Repurchase Tips & Toes Dramatic Gel Eyeliner?: Why not? I will do until I find a better eyeliner with an affordable price tag similar to this.

What does the Streetwear Eye Definer in Shade 08 Black Claims:
An eye-definer in that lovely tone you were looking for, this pencil style eye liner provides great smudge-free wear that stays on for a long time.

• Smooth application eye definer

• Pencil styling, comes with a top

My Experience with Streetwear Eye Definer in Shade 08 Black:

Packaging: The usual styled pencil made of wood and a black colored pencil tip. The whole pencil is colored silver with details printed in black. There is a portion at the end of the pencil colored in black, I guess to indicate that the eyeliner is black too. The pencil has a clear see-through plastic cap to cover the open end of the pencil.

Colour, Texture and Staying Power: The color of this eye definer is black as mentioned in the title before, but however it is not the exact black that any one would want. It is a sort of faded black. This eye definer does not give that heavy jet black around the eyes, I do not think that my eyes catch any attention with this eye definer.
               The texture of this eye definer is smooth, but not creamy enough to give the color in one shot. It glides well on the lash line (I have tried it only on my upper lash line). The pencil is not hard on the sensitive skin of the eyes. Repeated swipes on the lash line did not hurt my eye lid.
            Staying power is just about 4 hours with some smudging observed on my eye lid. I usually apply my daily cream on my eyes before using any eye product. I believe it is because of the cream, this eye definer smudged on my eyelid. Else, this product is not creamy enough to get smudged.

How it works: Drawing a line with this pencil around the eyes is just very simple and easy. No much talent required as it will not go around messing the look. But it requires quite a few swipes. After about 4-5 swipes on the lash line there is some amount of black visible, But by then my application turns out to be real thick and broad. And then I will have to again shape the line I drew, which will subsequently make my eyeliner more thick. Well, sometimes I like this brad thick eye liner look when I am in no make up mood for my eyes. No tugging or clumping of the product on the lash line.
       It is easily washed with plain water, a little rub with the fingers and it is gone. But if at all it gets into the eyes it stings very badly. I had this experience. It pricked for about 4-5 minutes. I have not come across any eye product which behaves so badly on the eyes. Street Wear Eye Definer looses all its points here.


EOTD with Streetwear Eye Definer in Shade 08 Black:

• Sleek pencil structure.
• Easy to draw a line on the upper lash line.
• Comes with a plastic cap for the open end of the pencil.
• Glides without any tugging and clumping on the eyes.

CONS of Streetwear Eye Definer in Shade 08 Black:

• Stings the eyes badly if it enters the eyes.
• Not creamy enough to give the bold black look to the eyes.
• Staying power is not very good for an eye liner product.
• Requires sharpening which will lead to wasting of product.

Lakme Fantasy Shimmer Eyeliner - Midnight Moon Review and EOTD

I am reviewing a liquid eyeliner from Lakme Fantasy Collection now. Sorry for irregular post time, I was a little lazy and also had some works. I remember doing some EOTD here with this eyeliner, which you can check out here. I know, this is somewhat a late review for this liner, but still I wanted to review this one as it became one of my favorite eyeliner. Now, let the see the product description before going into the review.

This rich sparkle liner lets you line, layer or blend without smudging or spreading. I will be showing you some swatches and also a EOTD using this eyeliner, nothing much I have simply used this on my bare eyes (Ofcourse kohl-ed he he ) and hope you will enjoy this review. My Experience with this Product

This liquid eyeliner comes in a very classy sleek case with a long applicator. I loved the way of packaging, it is really cute and trendy. The lid is golden colored and the case is transparent. Stiff and travel friendly packaging, overall very well packed.

  The shade of this eyeliner is somewhat grayish blue with white, sky blue and dark blue shimmers in it, which are not all OTT on your eyes. You can apply this liner in whatever way you want as the application is so easy and in control.

  Soon after I applied this on my eyes it dried like a magic, within 2 or 3 seconds. I am impressed the way it dries because the Lakme insta liner one takes ages to dry :P the shade is not at all over powering, it is a daily wearable shade and a great substitute for regular black. I stopped using the black liners and jumped to this one recently.

 This fantasy eyeliner stays for up to 6 hours and even more if you don't sweat. It doesn't smudge at all whatever I rub, but pour some water and rub, it will totally vanish off. I expected it to be water proof but sadly it is not. This will go well for people who doesn't sweat much and surely a great buy I would say!

And see now, how it looks on my eyes.

PROS

1. Lovely shade, somewhat blueish gray. This is a daily wearable subtle glittery eyeliner.
2. Quick drying, dries in 3 seconds.
3. It doesn't smudge however you rub
4. Stays for a decent time.
5. Easily available
6. Can be removed easily with your daily cleanser.
7. Easy application with the long applicator. Every application is smooth.
8. The texture of the eyeliner itself is smooth with subtle shimmer which do not look OOT on your eyes at all.

CONS

1. Not waterproof
2. Might be pricey for the little quantity

Nothing more! I really love the shade. Waiting to try the other shades as well.

Overall Rating: 3.5/5

My Recommendation: Try for sure! This makes a perfect casual/formal wear eyeliner with subtle shimmers.

Will I Repurchase?: Of course. I will. I love this shade very much.
