(Lot of details on the website……!!!!!!)

Price & Quantity: Rs.69 for 90 ml

Ingredients:
(I have included the image)

Shelf life: 36 months

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Repairing Shampoo:

The entire product packaging and it color, reminds me of Aishwarya Rai in bold red lips. :).

Packaging: This product comes in a plastic bottle that is white in color. The cap is a flip cap and is bright red in color. The important details printed on the bottle are also highlighted in red. On the whole, red and white makes an attractive combination.

Color, Consistency and Fragrance: The shampoo is white in color; I guess I can call it pure white.
The shampoo is midway in its consistency, neither thin nor thick. The right amount of liquid easy enough for handling. And recalling the fragrance, I find it pretty strong to my nose, yet the fragrance is good. The smell of the shampoo stays on for some more time even after rinsing it off.
The white soapy shampoo liquid is creamy and soft that resembles the perfect hair wash product. The smoothness of the product is perfect for spreading around the scalp and washing the hair.

How it works: I never use shampoo directly as it is. I drop some shampoo into my bathing mug and add some water to it. I shake the mug well so that the shampoo dissolves well and then I use this diluted shampoo for washing my hair. Well, this L’Oreal Paris shampoo lathers very well and removes off all the oil in just one wash. No second wash is needed. It leaves the scalp and hair clean and fresh. It is easy to remove any hair pack (if at all applied before bath) with this shampoo. Makes the hair smooth and shiny. I have observed it. A good shampoo to try out.

Pros of L’Oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Repairing Shampoo:

  • Attractive color combination in the package bottle.
  • Flip cap bottle.
  • Medium consistency of the shampoo.
  • Lathers well enough for washing the hair.
  • Leaves the scalp and hair clean.
  • Rinses off easily with water.
  • A single wash with this shampoo will do the job.

Cons of L’Oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Repairing Shampoo:

  • If other shampoo price is considered, this shampoo’s price is on the higher side.
  • Strong fragrance.

Makeup and Beauty Home Rating: 3.5/5

Do I Recommend L’Oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Repairing Shampoo :
Yes. A good shampoo to try that has no side effects.

Would I Repurchase L’Oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Repairing Shampoo?:

I do not think I will buy this every now and then. I will not make this as my routine shampoo. But I will keep one bottle as a stock. I will stick to my good old Dove Daily Shine Shampoo.

Have your tried the L’Oreal Paris Total Repair 5 Repairing Shampoo?

Soulflower Sandalwood Geranium Shampoo Bar Review

Soulflower Sandalwood Geranium Shampoo Bar Review

By Supriya

Hello ladies,
Ok, those of you have dry, rough hair raise your hands? And now those who are suffering from hair fall and hair thinning, raise your hands? Ahh... I know many hands will be raised. All hair problems in one, and you can take the perfect example of my hair. Dry, thin, dull and breakage. Consulted dermats, hair specialists, ayurvedic doctors, gobbled down medicines like food for months and applied all the tinctures and connotations, but the hair quality won't budge to improve.
I was so irritated and bugged up with comments from relatives about the deteriorating quality of my hair and the hair thinning that showed up my scalp from a distance. In desperate need of some quick fix, I started searching the internet, found many waste as well as useful tips. In my quest, I came to know the harmful chemicals in our shampoos and conditioners that lead to hair fall and hair thinning and came across some organic brands for my hair.
I know you are bored to death by my story and to quickly come to the point, today I am going to review one miracle of a product for hair, which I discovered (!) in my search – Soulflower Sandalwood Geranium Shampoo Bar. Soulflower shampoo bars remind me of those old shikakai bars that my grandmother (maternal) used to use on her hair. She had a thick long mane. After doing some research, I bought two soap bars from Soulflower.

Product Description:
All those with dry, flyaway, scanty hair, throw out your hats.Dry hair looks dull, tangles easily & can become easily split at the ends. You need essential oils that stimulate the sebaceous glands in the scalp to produce more oil. Sandalwood & Geranium do that & more! They also work as an antidepressant on the emotional level, soothing anxiety & stress. Jojoba & almond oils nourish hair & it will regain its elasticity, leaving it soft, shiny & with far more body. Formulated to gently clean your hair as well has hands, face & body -- especially convenient when traveling. They're safe for chemical treated, coloured, children’s hair.

Price: Rs. 250/- for 150gm

Key Ingredients:
Geranium & sandalwood essential oils, jojoba oil, almond oil, shikaki, aloevera, Vitamin E, glycerin & aqua, permitted edible color & aroma, saponified oils of olive, coconut, castor, palm & palm kernel.

Ingredient Benefits:
1. Sandalwood deep relaxes, has astringent, anti-inflammatory & antiseptic properties. Soothes a dry & irritated scalp.
2. Geranium essential oil calms & relaxes, prevents hair loss, helps to restore oil balance in the hair glands Jojoba oil..
3. Jojoba oil helps keep the hair moisturized so that it doesn’t break and can retain length.
4. Almond oil provides deep nourishment & moisture for dry locks, adds shine to dull hair, makes hair stronger & controls hair loss.
5. Aloevera gel has anti-inflammatory properties that keep your hair strong & healthy, stops hair fall. Makes hair shiny & healthy.
6. Shikakai (means fruit for hair) is a natural gentle conditioning agent for hair & scalp. Effective in combating dandruff & extremely gentle, working to not overly strip hair of its natural oils.

Usage Directions: Use Sandalwood Geranium Shampoo Bar for normal to dry hair. Rub the bar between your hands & apply the lather to your hair or rub the bar directly on your hair. Work the lather through & rinse as usual.

My Experience with Soulflower Sandalwood Geranium Shampoo Bar:

To put in very plain and simple... I love it. The shampoo bar has come as a savior for me. It cleanses well, the oils keep my hair from drying too much and about hair fall... it has drastically reduced. I am floored by this 100% vegan shampoo. The bar is red in color; though don't confuse it for emitting any rose aroma. I am completely flattered by the exotic natural ingredients of the soap. It’s very easy to apply. All you have to do is, rub the soap directly on your scalp or you can even lather it on your palms and apply. Doesn't tangle hair and leaves the hair with good volume. Also my hair fall has reduced. The soap lathers very well and I have generally not felt the usage of double application unless I have oiled my hair pre-wash.

The bar claims to be safe for chemically treated hair, colored, children's hair. This is free from all the chemicals namely SLS, SLES, parabens etc. I now very carefully read ingredient list before buying any product for my hair.

Since the bar is huge, I cut it into three pieces (recommended) for ease of use and to avoid wastage of product. I have completed using the bar and it lasted me for good three months with twice a week application.

Pros of Sandalwood Geranium Shampoo Bar:

  • Aroma of the shampoo bar
  • Lathers and cleans very well
  • Does not require much quantity, even for oiled hair
  • Will last easily for a long time
  • The exotic list of ingredients
  • Free from SLS/SLES and parabens

Cons of Sandalwood Geranium Shampoo Bar:

  • Could not find any but only if they could lower their prices a bit, I would buy this in bulk! (hehe)

Makeup and Beauty Home Rating: 4.75/5 (-0.25 for the price, though not an issue with me!)

My Recommendation: Go grab it girls :)

Would I Repurchase Soulflower Sandalwood Geranium Shampoo Bar?: I will be buying this as long as the company keeps making it. I love and love this shampoo bar!

The Nature's Co Sandalwood Hair Cleanser Cum Conditioner Review

The Nature's Co Sandalwood Hair Cleanser Cum Conditioner

Hello everyone,
Now I will be reviewing the Sandalwood Hair Cleanser Cum Conditioner from The Nature's co, one of my very favorite brand of natural products. This is one among the products from their Earthborne range which I have never tried before. TNC products always work great on my skin and hair and this one is no different. I have been waiting for months to grab a 'Shampoo cum Conditioner' to manage my frizzy hair. No! My hair is not always frizzy or unmanageable but it behaves strange in monsoons. In this irregular weather change, I wanted to use my conditioner after shampooing to make my hair stay manageable and free from split ends. This is okay for me but not 'every time' of course (Being a super lazy girl). So when I grabbed this Shampoo Cum Conditioner in my hand, that too from my favorite brand I was super excited to try it out. And sandalwood on hair? I have never used sandalwood products on my hair  till now so I was also curious to know how it would work. I have been using this product for past few days now and let my review show you all my experience with this product. Go ahead and read below!

My Experience with The Nature's Co Sandalwood Hair Cleanser Cum Conditioner

Packaging: This shampoo is packed in a square top, rectangular shaped transparent plastic bottle with a dark brown sturdy flip type cap. Most of  the The Nature's Co products such as the shower gels, body lotions and hair cleansers come in a similar kind of packaging. But somehow, I am liking this kinda packaging a lot. This is a very travel friendly product as it is sturdy and fits anywhere easily in my luggage. There is no leakage or spillage. Even though I have dropped the bottle 2-3 times still now :P it doesn't seem to crack or leak. A small pamphlet which is carrying the ingredient benefits of the product is tied on the neck of this shampoo bottle; and it looks absolutely natural. (Sorry :P I have missed that tiny pamphlet somewhere!)

Color, Consistency & Fragrance: I expected this shampoo to be thick and creamy as it claims to be formulated for dry and damaged hair but surprisingly it has a very thin and runny consistency. The shampoo is light beige in color and has a wonderful mild sandalwood fragrance. It is not that 'scented sandalwood' fragrance which many local toilet soaps carry but a pure, divine sandalwood fragrance that would be even soothing for sensitive noses.

How it works: To be frank, I was a little disappointed at first when I observed the consistency of this shampoo. It is thin and runny. I thought that only heavy, creamy conditioners and masques would help dry hair to be manageable but this shampoo proved me wrong :) This shampoo lathers excellently and washes out without leaving any residue on my scalp. I did not use a separate conditioner after shampooing my hair as this is itself a shampoo cum conditioner. I had a relaxing bathing experience with its very natural sandalwood fragrance. And after I blow dried my hair, Whoa! It has turned really smooth and manageable. As claimed, this shampoo gave me a lustrous, soft and manageable hair. More than the softness, my hair looked very shiny and healthy. I have used many shampoos and conditioner till now, but this shampoo gave me ultimate effects without even using a separate conditioner. The result I got with this shampoo is definitely greater than the results I got when I used some other shampoo with its conditioner. I am a regular shampoo user and hence this would really prevent my hair becoming dry :) I am impressed of this shampoo very much and this is now my holy grail shampoo too. The fragrance lasts on my hair for a long time and my hair did not turn limp the next day of hair wash too. This is a miracle shampoo I have ever came across and I am totally in love with it now! This shampoo will suit every hair type in my guess.

Pros of The Nature's Co Sandalwood Hair Cleanser Cum Conditioner

  • Neat, easy to use and travel friendly packaging
  • Cleanses out hair and scalp very well without leaving any residue behind
  • Lathers very well and get rinsed out quickly
  • My hair feels soft after using this shampoo every time
  • There is no need to use a conditioner separately
  • It gave my hair an glossy shine which I loved the most!
  • Smells divine; it has a pure sandalwood smell
  • It doesn't leave hair dry or limp, but perfectly shiny, soft and clean
  • This shampoo is suitable for all hair types
  • SLS free and paraben free
  • A single bottle will last for 1 and half months with daily usage

Cons of The Nature's Co Sandalwood Hair Cleanser Cum Conditioner

  • I said that it has become my Holy Grail shampoo now; hence I have no big con to mention. However the price is a bit steep. But when comparing to the results, I do not really mind the price for a natural, really working SLS free and paraben free hair cleanser cum conditioner.

Makeup and Beauty Home Rating: 5/5

Recommendation: Grab one for sure if you don't mind the price! You can skip your conditioner but still can have a frizz free, flying hair with this shampoo. This Sandalwood hair cleanser might become your HG one too.

Would I Repurchase?: No doubt! I am picking it all the time until I find a better one. This is an excellent Shampoo cum Conditioner for lazy girls like me :P

Hair Care. About shampoos. Wash the head. Shine and strength of healthy hair.

Hair should be washed to the extent of contamination. Before washing the head, comb your hair is desirable.Wash your hair - always boiled or filtered water, ie soft. Water softener in the home it can boil and allow to stand for 5-6 hours, or just defend. Can a 2 liter of water add 1 teaspoon of baking soda or a few drops of ammonia.

Pick a shampoo for hair type, and preferably soft. To find suitable shampoo or not, do this test: Mix in a glass of water with the shampoo and allow the mixture to settle. If you see a curdy precipitate - to use this shampoo is not necessary. This is difficult to wash the shampoo from the hair and can be a problem: seborrhea, dandruff, itching.

Change is often the shampoo is not necessarily important to choose the right depending on the needs of hair and scalp. For long hair shampoo is better to have two: one for oily hair, which wash the scalp and hair at the base, and the other for dry - wash the entire length of the hair. You also need to use two balms conditioner. Now there is a shampoo for the mixed structure of hair, which is used for skin and hair. It should not be a long time to wash my hair from the hair of the degreased and lose its luster.
Rinse your hair it is necessary. You can use special balms, conditioners. And you can acidified water with vinegar, preferably apple or grape. The acidified water is used to neutralize the residual alkali on the hair. If the water is hard, then rinse hair with vinegar is absolutely necessary: a tablespoon of 6% vinegar in a bucket of water.

Dark hair shine from acetic rinse.   Do not believe the inscriptions on shampoos such as "suitable for everyday use." Wash your hair should be two to three times a week. Not more. Otherwise you can damage the hair.   The frequency of shampooing has no effect on hair loss, of course, if properly selected shampoo and you do not comb wet hair. Man loses a day from 50 to 100 hairs regardless of whether or not they are washed.   It is useful to 1-2 times a month instead of shampoo to use sour milk.

They generously greased hair and rubbed into the skin, and an hour later wash thoroughly with warm water. With frequent shampooing shampoo is applied only once. Hold for thirty seconds and then shampoo wash hair. Well-washed hair "squeak." Do not wash your hair with too hot water. The water temperature should not exceed 50 ° C. Follow the exact dose and expose the air conditioner on your hair the specified time, if you want to get the desired effect. Rinse your hair as long as possible, shampoo, rinse under hot running water for about a minute, and spend as much time on the flushing of the air conditioner.
Each time, use only a clean towel. Wipe washed hair preferably a hot towel. Dry at room temperature - not the sun, not over the fire, and preferably without a hair dryer. During the drying of the hair do not rub strongly towel wrap your head in a turban and soft movements promakivayuschimi dry hair and then remove the towel. It is advisable to dry the hair naturally in the air - no hair dryer.
Do the shampoos "brilliance and strength of healthy hair"?Many shampoos promise us "brilliance and strength of healthy hair." The action of the majority of shampoos based on the fact that they form on the surface of the hair thin film. As a result, the hair at the time become thicker, softer and beautifully shiny. But the health ... By advertising of expensive imported shampoos and other "miracle" of hair care products should be treated with caution. For example, one popular American hormonal agent for women at first sight really slows down hair loss, but at the same time only enhances hormonal imbalance. It turns out that it does not cure, and "encourages" the disease, temporarily masking it.
As for shampoos with provitamins, the experts point out that for one type of hair they are useful, but for another - are dangerous. So before you apply, you should consult with your doctor. Dandruff shampoos can help with menthol? Thought so for a long time, but in 1990 the Agency for Food and Drug Administration issued a U.S. document that listed the 223 useless components that are widely used in medicines and cosmetics. Among the substances effective against dandruff, and was menthol. In addition to menthol, the "black list" were boric acid, allantoin, evkalip-thick, juniper and pine resin, methyl salicylate, phenol, povidone-iodine, sodium salicylate, thymol, and many other lesser-known components of the shampoo.
But do not think that these substances are very very useless. The same menthol is used widely today, being a part of medicine, candy, cosmetics. Justified and its application in a number of shampoos, where he was assigned the role of money is not anti-dandruff and refreshing the component. But the main enemy of anti-dandruff shampoos in the current zinc pyrithione is.

Guest Post by Prachi Awasthi
Weekend Fun Giveaway July Week 2 Giveaway Entry #3

Hello all. Now who hasn’t dealt with some amount of hair fall? We all have at some point or the other and because of that also have tried a gazillion products and home remedies and what not. Those who have dealt with hair fall will understand what I am talking about.

Now we all are familiar with the brand ‘Clear’. This shampoo is from their new diversified range for men and women and basically targets hair fall and dandruff as we all know Clear’s main arena is anti dandruff products. I won’t say extra ordinary or as the pack says 98% less hair fall.

Packaging: This product is packed in a off white coloured bottle with a comfortable flip type cap.

Usage Directions:
Use like any shampoo taking a dollop in your palm and rubbing it in wet hair forming foam.

Pros:
  • It has been about 10 days that I have been using this product and I find it fine.
  • It smells great and has considerably reduced hair fall up to a good extent
  • The packaging can be handled easily and looks fine.

Cons:
  • They makes claim it contains vitamins and mineral nutrients. Honestly, I haven’t felt it much.
  • It just leaves the hair a bit dry therefore, conditioning becomes very very necessary. The product doesn’t come with its own conditioner therefore selecting a conditioner after use is another hassle.

How to Make Your Hair Wash Cream at Home - Photo Tutorial

As soon as summer begins, our hair starts getting damaged by the harmful UV rays and heat. Due to this, daily hair wash becomes necessary in every person's hair care routine. We face split ends, oiliness, dandruff, sweating and many other hair ailments due to regular shampooing. Today, I am going to show you the steps of making your own hair wash cream at home easily. In this recipe, shika is used as a base. Shika is a natural made hair wash powder, widely used in India. You can make your own at home or get a ready made pack from your nearest shop. This hair wash cream is suitable for all hair types, however a little alteration would be needed to make it suit your hair. Usage of this hair cream instead of your regular shampoo not only acts as a natural side effect free hair cleaner, but also adds a perfect shine and smoothness to your hair. Let us move on to the recipe now.

Things you will need:

  1. Shika Powder - 2 teaspoons
  2. Curd - Required
  3. Hair oil - 3 drops

Instructions

Step 1

Take a small clean bowl and add 2 teaspoons of  homemade or store bought shika powder into it. I am using the Meera herbal hair wash powder here.

Step 2

Pour required curd to the shika powder. Curd acts as a natural hair conditioner and adds shine to dull hair, hence you can skip your conditioner.

Step 3

Blend well to form a thick paste.

Step 4

Now add 3 drops of any light hair oil to this paste for a nourishing effect on your hair. Make sure to avoid thick oils like castor oil and go for thin filtered oils, because they may weigh down your hair. I have used a thin hair oil from Garnier. If your hair type is extremely oily, then skip this step and add few drops of lemon juice to the cream.

Step  5

Now mix all the ingredients well and keep the bowl inside your refrigerator for 20 to 30 minutes. This process allows the ingredients to mix well together and gives a smooth soaked shika hair cream.

That's all. Your homemade hair wash cream is ready for use now. You can apply it on your wet hair soon after taking out from the refrigerator for a cooling and relaxing effect. This hair wash cream cools down your body, refreshes your eyes and prevents summer acne. However, allow it to warm in room temperature before using if you have cold body type.

The texture of the cream should be normal to runny for a perfect application. This doesn't lather much as your shampoo but thoroughly cleanses out all the dirt and oiliness. Plenty of water should be used to wash out the cream thoroughly. Make sure to choose a fine shika powder to avoid residues.

Texture of the Homemade Hair Wash Cream

I have been using this homemade hair wash for ages and it gives great results on my hair every time. My hair turns visibly shinier and smoother after every usage. I can also feel my hair growth faster than before as there is less hair loss. This above preparation is made for my sister and I will be washing my hair tomorrow with this homemade hair wash cream.
"Hope you find this hair wash recipe useful. Submit your sweet opinions and comments below in the comment section. In case of doubts, feel free to ask!

Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Shampoo Review

Good Evening buddies! I am reviewing a shampoo in this post which I have been using now and then for a past few months. It's one of the shampoo from Herbal Essences brand called the "Dangerously Straight Silky and Straight Shampoo" Let us see few lines about the brand first (As per their site). "WANT TO KNOW ABOUT US? then you should know we’re all about hair. not just how your hair looks, but how it feels, smells and, most importantly, how it makes you feel. whether it’s lusciously soft, totally twisted or long and strong, hair is an expression. hair is an experience. it’s time to experience Herbal hair." What is running on your mind now? Is it a shampoo that straightens hair!!?? Right isn't it? So, now let us move on to my review and know more about this shampoo with its PROS and CONS.

Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Silky and Straight Shampoo

Price: Rs. 148 for 300ml; Rs.90 for 160 ml

Product Description
You love your straight hair but what you do to get it leaves some damage done. Well, go ahead and get a straight look. My lush formula lays hair down with a sleek shine. Need something to calm down your strands? Smooth things over with the lush formula of Herbal Essences Shampoo Dangerously Straight, that has a fusion of pink lily and Asian silk. This smooth shampoo lays down fly-aways for silky-softness that’s totally touchable.

My Views and Ratings

The Packaging
This shampoo comes in a cute pink coloured plastic bottle with a press type cap. The bottle is semi transparent and hence it is easier to find out how much shampoo is left inside. Luckily, the whole pack is firm and travel friendly. An another plus is that, the bottle is re-usable. I am planning to fill my homemade body lotion after the shampoo gets over :P Overall, the packaging is pretty good.
5/5

Colour, Consistency and Fragrance
The consistency of the shampoo is normal to runny, while it has a baby pink colour which looked so cute. The shampoo is creamy, smooth and lovable to use, especially the kids in your home will long for it. The shampoo lathers pretty good and washes out easily. It has a very floral and refreshing fragrance. No bad I see in this part too.
5/5

How it Works
There is no such thing called the straightening effect in this shampoo actually. For the price, I didn't expect straightening and all but still I would say they named the product wrong. But other than that, the shampoo cleanses out oil, dirt, pollution and brings out the lustrous hair. My hair becomes smooth, soft even without a conditioner however rough and dry scalps will have to use it along with a good nourishing conditioner. I didn't experience any abnormal hair fall or dandruff while using this shampoo and overall, its a good shampoo for regular use, but don't expect straightening effects. It may make your hair look little straight with its softening effects, but not surely parlor straight.
3.5/5 (-1.5 for wrong naming, or else would have given full ratings)

PROS
  1. Lovely packaging. Cute, Sturdy and Travel friendly.
  2. Semi transparent bottle helps to find out how much is left in the bottle.
  3. Comes in a dirt cheap price.
  4. Makes her soft, smooth and light. It doesn't weigh down hair.
  5. No side affects such as abnormal hair fall or dandruff.
  6. Lathers pretty enough and washes off easily.
  7. Because of the pinky-pinky colour, it would attract all the kids.
  8. Lovely floral fragrance which stays all day long. Gives a refreshing feel.
  9. Perfect for everyday use.
CONS
  1. No such thing called the "Straightening Effect". This cant be taken as a con for the price though.
My Recommedation: Why should we bother about the name? :P The shampoo is good, so give a try buddies!

Overall Rating: 4/5

Will I Repurchase?: Sure, After this bottle gets over.
