After deciding upon our chosen theme of food, it seemed logical to first choose how we would decorate the wedding cake and then fit the rest of the theme around this centrepiece.
Cake is a particular favourite of mine. Chocolate cake, carrot cake, cupcakes, coffee cake... I love them all. How am I going to choose the perfect one?
Solution: CAKE TASTING!
Armed with my cupcake-smelling pen for inspiration, we dedicated a whole afternoon in the name of research and headed to Fallen Angel bakery in Birmingham. This place not only sells an amazing selection of cakes, but also delicious cupcakes and enough coffee to wash it all down.

We even had a chat with the manager who told us that they bake everything on site, and as long as we order 3 days before, they can accommodate and deliver anything we require. They also offer discounts for bulk orders – perfect!
We definitely need to spend more time on this, but I’m sure you’ll agree that this was a delicious start to our hunt for the right wedding cake!
