How to Clean Up Daily For Sensitive Skin

blue water photo: How to Clean Up Daily For Sensitive SkinNatural acne treatment. How to Clean Up Daily For Sensitive Skin. The first step in the treatment of sensitive skin is cleansing (with cleanser and / or soap). Of course, using water to clean the skin helps remove dirt and other irritants. Many people use a cleanser to remove excess oil and dirt. But do not just choose the origin of cleanser if you have sensitive skin.

Conventional soaps, usually damaging the skin of essential oils and leaving the rest dry can cause irritation to the skin. If you experience irritation after using it, immediately switch to a beauty soap. Beauty soap does not contain harsh ingredients commonly found in soaps, such as detergents. Also, be sure to avoid products that contain acid (acid) and products with fragrances. If in doubt, try it first soap to be used for a small portion of your skin before using it on the entire face.

Although you may wash your face twice a day, it is best not to use a facial scrub more than once or twice per week. Scrub is very beneficial to exfoliate the skin, removing dirt and dead skin cells. But for someone with sensitive skin, scrubs can be very annoying. When cleaning your body, wash gently, and stop using scrubbing tools, like a sponge that can irritate your skin.

When the cleaning is done with soap and scrubbing every day, it can dry out the skin surface. Give moisturizer immediately after cleansing your skin is very important for your daily skin care routine.

Caring for Sensitive Skin With Moisture
Moisturize face can be done in two easy steps. First, immediately after cleansing the skin, lightly pat it dry with a damp towel and let the flavor of the face. Next, provide a moisturizer on your face after 3 minutes the first step. That's the simple steps to care for sensitive skin.

Most of the body's skin has about 80 percent water, but the surface of the skin only holds up to 30 percent of water alone. To heal and protect sensitive skin from inflammation and infection, the moisture in the surface layers need to be maintained. Moisturizing skin restore moisture lost during the cleanup, and protects against drying. That's the benefit to using a moisturizer immediately after cleansing steps to retain as much moisture as possible.

Such as cleanser, moisturizer is not all work together. You may need to test several products in a patch of skin to determine which one is best without causing irritation. Moisture can be an ointment, cream or lotion. Ointments are usually oily, while the usually water-based lotion. Use the formula is light and feels good in advance. Try an oil-free moisturizer if you have oily or acne prone face. Moisturizer is scented with fragrances, but have deleterious effects on sensitive skin. Fragrance is likely to cause irritation and allergies.

Moisture alone will not protect you from potential damage and irritation. Protection from the sun is also an important component of how to care for sensitive skin should be done every day.

Daily Protection For Sensitive Skin
Daily care for sensitive skin care involves moisturizers and sunblock to protect the skin from sun exposure. Damage from the sun can cause skin aging, skin irritation and even cancer, so it is important to keep in mind as part of a daily skin regimen sensitive you.

Two types of ultraviolet, or UV, from the sun can damage your skin. UVA rays penetrate deep into the skin, while UVB rays cause burning sensation down. Unfortunately, most sunscreens only protect against UVB rays. To look for a sunscreen that protects against both types of rays, check ingredientnya. Ingredients that help protect against UVA include zinc oxide, titanium dioxide and Parsol 1789 (avobenzone).

Sun Protection Factor, or SPF, should also be taken into consideration when choosing a sunblock. SPF will help you determine if the skin has enough protection against UVB rays. Generally, anything under SPF 15 is not enough to protect you from strong ultraviolet rays. As with cleanser and moisturizer, choose a sunscreen that does not contain fragrance, oils and acidic materials. Dermatologists recommend using sunscreen every day, apply one ounce (29.5 mL) every two hours. If you sweat or go to the pool, you need to use sunscreen more often.

The best option is to find a moisturizer that contains sunscreen for maximum healing and protection (Amor Rich day cream has SPF 15 as well as a moisturizer). Once you make a selection, use every day. Discuss with a dermatologist to ask for help or advice, if you have any questions or problems.

If you follow the tips outlined in this article, it can clean up, manage and protect your sensitive skin every day.

Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Day Cream Review

Today I am going to review a fairness cream from Lakme, a well known popular cosmetic brand. Basically I am not that crazy about fairness creams or lotions as I love my dusky complexion and I am not the one who crave for whiter pale skin. Fairness creams are not going to make me or anyone magically fair though :P The main reason why I purchased this fairness day cream is that I loved the face wash from this range very much. I have already reviewed the Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Face Wash here and the reason why I loved it is the freshness and instant brightness it gives after washing my face. So I thought of trying the fairness cream from this perfect radiance range and using it for about a month. Let me give my review about it with its pros and cons

Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Day Cream
(With White Lily and Sacred Lotus Extracts)

Price : 50g  for Rs.175; 15g  for Rs.92
(I bought the 50g pack as the 15g one is too less in quantity for the price)

Shelf Life : Best before 24 months (2 years) from packaging

Ingredient List
(Sorry for the inconvenience with this bad clarity picture) :(

What Does the Product Claims
Designed to give you truly fair radiant skin, Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Day Cream with White Lily and Sacred Lotus acts on all six signs below of skin ageing.

How to Use
Smooth on every morning and evening on cleansed skin to discover skin that's not only truly fair but glows from within. For external use only.

Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Cream Packaging

Opening Cover.. The tub is compactly placed inside

In my hand.. You can observe it's size easily

Compactly and Safely Packed with a firm Plastic Base

Consistency and Colour of the Product

Before Applying the Cream

After Applying the Cream

My View About Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Day Cream
The product comes in tub with an outer cover which is sweet pink in co lour. The tub is compactly packed inside the cover with a thin plastic base. The tub which containing the cream is somewhat purplish in colour with a lovely silver lid on the top. This combination makes the packaging classy and anyone will love it very much. The silver lid was firm and tight thus the product is travel friendly too. Even though I loved the packaging, I feel little disappointed with it because the tub packaging makes it unhygienic. We have to dip our finger every time into the tub to take out the cream, If the product comes in tube, it would be much better than this. The fragrance is flowery and sweet as same as the face wash from this range.
To say about the consistency of the cream, it is very smooth, creamy and milkish peach in colour (As you see in the above pics) It spreads easily and absorbs easily without any trouble on my skin. Unlike most of the other fairness creams, it is very light on my skin, it doesn't make my skin feel heavy or tight. The main thing, it's not greasy at all. It instantly brightened my skin without leaving any whitish cast. But remember, In darker skin tones, it may leave a ashy cast if applied too much. With regular use, it reduced my acne scars up to an extent and made my skin tone even. It think it removed little tan too as it claims. As I am a "normal to oily" skinned girl, this cream suits me best for day time usage but dry skins should stay away from this. There is no moisturizing effect at all. This product is surely not for dry skins and some normal skins too may feel this less moisturizing in winters. Eventhough I love to use it as a perfect day cream, I am not ready to go with it to nourish my skin at nights, my skin needs an extra nourishing night cream. So allover, it's a perfect day cream which is light, which gives instant brightening effect, stays longer on face and best to use only for oily skinned people. It also acts a superb makeup base but dry skinned people shouldn't go for it.

PROS
  1. Cute, Sturdy and Travel friendly packaging
  2. Smooth texture of the cream which is very creamy and spreads easily.
  3. Lovable flowery fragrance which gives instant freshness.
  4. This day cream instantly brightens skin without any greasy feel or heaviness.
  5. A very best day cream and a make up base for oily and super oily skins.
  6. It reduces the appearance of scars and evened out my skin tone up to a great extent.
  7. Removes sun tan as it claims, only with regular use.
  8. The tub is fully filled with cream, hence it's affordable for the quantity and quality. A 50gm tub will last for more than 2 months.
  9. No side effects, no breakouts if used in normal and oily skins. Safe to use.
CONS
  1. No moisturizing effect! Dry skins stay away.
  2. Tub Packaging which is unhygienic.
  3. Contains Parabens. Which cosmetic today doesn't?
No other cons, the only main thing that bothers people is that the product has no moisturizing effect. But it's not a big con according to this cream because they didn't claim at all that this cream will moisturize your skin. The product only claims that it "Reduces oiliness". So, the Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Day Cream lives up to its claims. Worth of money!

My Recommendation: Oily Skins go head, it will suit you best in all the seasons. Normal skins, summer is alright but stay away from this cream in winters and dry people, just forget about this product. This is not for you in any season.
My Rating: 4/5 (-1 for tub packaging and -1 for no moisturizing effect)
Will I repurchase this product? : Sure, Every time! I love it because it instantly brightens, evens out my skin with daily use and acts as a good makeup base too.

Using Lotion or Skin Moisturizer at Night

For skin care, what the benefits of wearing lotion at night.  Is using lotion at night is good for the skin? just using lotion or skin moisturizer at night that the recommended.
Many people think that the most effective use lotion after showering when. And, in a day you may use lotion after showering twice.

Benefits of skin lotion at night

1. skin regeneration
In order for the skin look more radiant skin also requires a process of regeneration. The process of regeneration or renewal of these cells occurs at night when we sleep. This is actually a skin cell regeneration takes place every time, but at night the skin regenerate two more times.

For cell regeneration, skin needs help of some vitamins and active ingredients to make it more effective," he added. Use lotion before bedtime will help provide energy in the form of vitamins and other active ingredients.

Only, it must be remembered that the selection of lotions for the evening is not the same as a daily lotion. When choosing a night lotion, try to choose a lotion that contains fatty acids and vitamin B3 higher to keep skin moist.

2. Keeping humidity
Use lotion at night will help reduce the loss of water vapor that is too much. In the evening the trans epidermal water loss (evaporation) of water from the skin will be increased by 25 percent compared to the morning or afternoon. Loss of moisture in the skin will be higher, especially in the open (not covered with clothing) such as legs, arms, and face.

Applications lotion will help reduce levels of water evaporation from the skin while we sleep. Losing too much moisture will make skin sensitive and dry.

3. Easily absorbs the active ingredient
The night is the most effective time to apply a range of beauty products. Due to the night, the skin will more easily absorb the active ingredients.

REVIEW: Vivel 3-in-1 Face Wash+Scrub

OMG I feel like I am doing a product review after ages and yup it has been a while hasn't it :) Thanks to all of you, who missed and actually wrote to me saying so :) It is mails like these that make my hobby of being a beauty blogger all the more special :) Thank you!

Today, I shall be reviewing Vivel's 3-in-1 Face Wash+Scrub for soft, clear and glowing skin. It is supposed to be "All Skin Types" and "For Everyday Use". It contains jojoba beads, which are nothing but Jojoba esters created by complete hydrogenation of Jojoba oils. The oils are used as emollients and the esters or the beads are used for exfoliation.

Vivel Face wash+scrub is actually what is it called. It has these exfoliating jojoba beads floating in a face wash. The exfoliating beads are just right, they are not at all harsh and neither do they dissolve in water very fast. I loved the product as a scrub. It does have a strong fragrance but it isn't unbearable or synthetic smelling.

The product did have a downside though and that was the fact that I do not think it is suitable for dry skin. Though they claim that it is for all skin types but after a couple of uses I started finding dry patches on my skin (I do have extremely dry skin), very similar to the ones caused by Clean and Clear face washes. So I asked my friend with oily skin to try it and well she apparently loved it. So I guess its a fabulous product for those with oily skin but dry skin beauties are better off without it...

Image of the Product

Swatch

Oooohhsss And Aaaahhhsss!!!
1. The jojoba beads are of the perfect hardness and texture for exfoliation. They weren't harsh on the skin.
2. It really and I mean really helped me scrub away dead cells. My skin actually felt all sparkly and clean!
3. I like the fact that it has both a scrub as well as a face wash. It was awesome to have a lather working up while exfoliating.
4. Very very easily and widely available in all general and departmental stores.

Ouches!!!
1. Though they claim the product to be for all skin types, it does not suit dry skin.
2. It does have a somewhat strong fragrance.

Price
it costs INR 105/- for 100 ml.

Would I Recommend?
I would for sure recommend it for oily skinned ladies who are looking for a good scrub with an oil control face wash. But dry skinned beauties should stay away from this product.

Overall Rating:
5/10 - Dry Skin
8/10 - Oily Skin

The product was sent by PR for consideration. It has in no way affected my review.

REVIEW: The Body Shop Spiced Vanilla Body Butter

Hellllloooooo everyone... It feels like a decade that I posted on ISLM (yup I do love a bit of exaggeration here and there :P) and it feels awesome to be back :) I plan to review TBS Spice Vanilla Body Butter and I know it has been reviewed like 27,836 times on the beauty blogosphere already but aren't you a tad bit curious about my take on it? ;)

Spiced Vanilla is a beautifully rich vanilla scented body butter that isn't too sweet. It smells more like a cinnamon doughnut than anything else ;) Its a perfect fragrance for the colder months though and because of the richness of its fragrance I cannot see myself using it in warmer weather... For summers I prefer fruity fragrances like Peach body butter, mango body butter and satsuma body butter... For winters I am loving Spiced Vanilla :)

Though the tub does not specify any skin type, this particular one is suiting my dry skin to the Tee. Just a layer and my skin feels all smooth and pampered. Its fragrance stays on for like really long and when I wore it to office for the first time, everyone of the guys actually turned when I passed them. I swear! I myself feel like I am enveloped in a veil of spicy vanilla the whole day...

4. Always available at any TBS outlets. It isn't LE.
5. In addition to a lot of oils and cocoa butter extracts, it contains sesame oil as well, which is really very good for one's skin.

Daily Habits that Reflect Badly on the Skin

Problem becomes wrinkled skin, reducing the appearance of beautiful. Premature aging of skin makes wrinkles appear. Only about 10 percent of the genetic factors influencing the aging process, it means you have greater control in maintaining the skin stay young. Dr. Doris Day, author of Forget the Facelift. Here Dr, Doris describes daily habits that reflect badly on the skin:

1. smoke
As the effect on the entire body, cigarettes are toxic to your skin. "Smoking is the absolute worst thing for your skin," said Dr. Ellen Marmur, Professor of Dermatology and Genetics at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, USA. The good news is that stopping smoking will undo the damage that has occurred on your skin. "If you smoked for 10 years and you stop for five years, you can erase all the damage," said Dr. Marmur. What is needed is a smoke-free a few weeks to see changes in skin color to be improved.

2. Ignoring the skin around the eyes
Sunglasses are not only accessories required for celebrities. "Everyone should use it to prevent sun damage around the eyes," said Dr. Marmur. Believe it or not, you can even get melanoma in the eye if you underestimate it. Chronic exposure to UV rays can cause premature aging around the eyes. The solution is a special soft eye sunscreen can help protect the skin of your eyes, but sunglasses are also a good protection. Wear sunglasses whenever you are outside, even on cloudy days. Find the type that offers more than 95% UV protection.

3. less moving
Lazy to exercise also can accelerate the signs of premature aging on your face. "Exercise is one of the best things you can do for healthy skin," said Dr. Marmur. Exercise increases the flow of blood circulation which makes skin a healthy glow. "When you exercise faintly pink skin, wash the area because all the vessels of the face with blood rich in oxygen and nutrients," he explained. Plus, studies show fitness exercises help the skin repair itself and may even protect against skin cancer. Dr suggestions, Marmur: 30 minutes of aerobic activity three or four times a week. Be sure to wear sunscreen when you exercise outdoors.

4. Not Enough Sleep
The worst thing you can do for your skin, but skip the sunscreen, the late nights. "When you're asleep, the energy flow throughout the body to rejuvenate the cells," he explained. Cut back on sleep to make you lose the moment of skin rejuvenation.

5. Giving no time for work
According to Dr. Marmur, skin care products at least takes about three months to work so you need to be patient. If a product claims to be able to renew collagen almost instantly, you know it's definitely a false claim. Want to see the results of expensive anti-aging cream that you buy, wait at least three months of the results on your face.

Overcome Skin Aging, According to Your Age

The process of skin aging is something natural and inevitable in humans. Follow the aging process age. But there is an attempt to resolve skin aging process. Graphed time as you will continue to rise rapidly. Rate of speed that process is different at each age as well as women. The aging process in each individual there is a quick run to slow. Therefore overcome skin aging, according to your age.

Facing the aging to age 20
This period of the aging process occurs with very fine (almost invisible signs). At the age of 20, the line is starting to look thin look due to the collagen and elastin begin to break down. Damage caused by sun exposure is also beginning to emerge. "Even if the signs of aging are not visible, it is important to take steps to protect your skin," advises Dr. Debra Jaliman, author of Skin Rules: Trade Secrets from a Top New York Dermatologist. Creams which contain antioxidants, facial scrub, facial microdermabrasion treatment and sunscreen is a must for you. "Use sunscreen even if you are not on the outside," advises Dr. B. Hayes Gladstone, of Gladstone Berman Skin Institute, California, USA.

Facing the aging for age 30s
Although your skin may still look 'shiny' and radiant, fine lines may be just around the eyes and forehead, as well as the visible expression lines more than the age of 20. "The best thing you can do for your skin is to moisturize the skin with a cream containing sunscreen at least SPF 30," added Dr. Jaliman. Non-ablative lasers can be selected to make the skin more radiant or to disguise fine lines.

Facing the aging for age 40s
This is the decade when the skin begins to show signs of sun damage and aging, especially if you are exposed to UV radiation without any protection when you were younger. Freckles and dark pigment in the skin may have emerged, while the pores and oil glands more prominent. Dr. Jaliman said, using a product with retinol as the main ingredient is very important to help reduce fine lines and improve skin texture. Other treatments to consider include photofacials (IPL or intense light therapy) and fractional laser treatments. IPL can smooth your skin tone while the fractional laser treatments are designed to brighten skin tone and restore skin texture. For smile lines and marionette lines below the mouth, collagen stimulants (or dermal filler) became a very popular choice. While Dr. Gladstone showed that sagging eyelids and bags are also emerging at this time, causing some women to start thinking about the surgical procedure.

Facing the aging for age 50s
When you enter the age of 50 changes in the skin may be more dramatic. Muscle, fat, collagen, and bone tissue begins to shrink, making wrinkles more noticeable. If you smoke or have damage from excessive sun, wrinkles can become more apparent. These spots can also become more numerous and spread throughout the body, including your hands. To help with wrinkles and other signs of aging, Dr. Jaliman suggest that you continue to use retinol products, such as in your 40s. Lasers can be used eliminate brown spots, uneven skin texture and enlarged pores. Many women also choose for skin tightening with Thermage CPT radio frequency to tighten sagging skin. Serum and moisturizer containing peptide-counter can make your skin look more full when used every day.

Facing the aging to age 60 and over
After reaching your golden years, your skin looks more and more dull. This is due to exfoliate dead skin and do not accumulate. Assist the process of exfoliation is important. Broken blood vessels may appear on the face, brown spots or black started popping up around the hairline and neck. Elastin and collagen continues to decline in number, and skin cells may not supple, plump and moist as of yore. Damage caused by sun exposure continues to increase. "You can choose products that not only protects against sun exposure, but also repairs the skin," said Dr. Jaliman. He recommends sunscreen use technology to target DNA repair sun damage there and fight sun damage in the future. Skin with Thermage CPT can diperkencang radio frequency. To damaged blood vessels and brown spots, it's good start to consider a series of laser treatments. Stimulates collagen by injection may be an option if you want full looking skin longer.

REVIEW: The Body Shop Apricot and Basil 100% Biodegradable Shower Gel

Yes yes yes, I hauled and TBS and now TBS reviews are the kind of posts that you will be literally bombarded with :P Today it is The Body Shop Apricot and Basil 100% Biodegradable Shower Gel from the Earth Lovers Collection...

True to it's name, it sure is a treasured collection for Earth Lovers because of it being 100% biodegradable. It is sulphates and paraben free and if you are still not happy then let me tell you that the bottle of the shower gel is made out of 100% recycled plastic... Now this sure should be a great way of celebrating The World Environment Day! Ha ha :)

The light green semi transparent bottle itself looks really pretty and feminine and the interesting combinations that TBS has come up with where core ingredients are concerned and simply so attractive! Apricot and Basil in a shower gel... Now who could have thought of that? It's pure genius :)

The shower gel lathers up really well and a small amount goes a long way without a doubt! And that's where the good things end...

One major issue that I have with the product is that it is very very drying and not a very comfortable product to use for people with dry skin... And do note that this review is during the Monsoons!!! Oily skin and normal skin would just love it! :) Another small con with the product is that the product itself is very "runny" and not at all like a shower "gel"!

Images of the Product:

Ooooohhss And Aaahhhsss!!!
1. It is 100% bio-degradable
2. It is sulphates and paraben free.
3. The bottle itself is very pretty :)
4. It has a subtle lingering fragrance, which is rather fresh and not at all sweet.
5. It is without a doubt very refreshing, I think its the "basil".
6. It is quite easy on the pocket especially when compared to other TBS products :P
7. Comes in a variety of combinations and hence it is really easy to choose on the basis of your preference :)

Ouches!!!
1. It dries up the skin and hence isn't very suitable for dry skin.
2. The texture of the product is quite runny and not at all like a gel!

Price:
It costs INR 390/-

Repurchase?
Unfortunately, no! I really prefer moisturising or at least non-drying shower gels.

Do I Recommend?
It is very drying for dry skin but that spells good news for Oily skinned and even noramal skinned beauties out there :)

Overall Rating:
7/10 -> Dry Skin
9/10 -> Normal/Oily skin

Fatty acids good for the skin, especially for dry skin to moisturize and fight inflammation and infections that cause acne. Mengasup in the form of supplements such as fish oil can also be an option.

Vitamin C is known to slow cell damage aids, block pigmentation and wrinkles. So be sure to mengasup foods rich in vitamin C such as fruits and vegetables dalammnya.

Warm bath feels good, but unfortunately it is not good for your skin. Because hot water can make your skin dry. Sensitive Skin and Acne

Sensitive Skin - Many individuals suffer from the effects of sensitive skin and acne. When being evaluated for sensitive skin, many dermatologists determine a set standard or set factors in making an official diagnosis. Reactions, such as acne outbreaks, are one of the major contributing factors in determining this type of condition. Individuals who find that they experience various types of flushing and/or blushing may also have skin that is a bit on the sensitive side. There are many situations in which skin may exhibit a severe dryness that results in skin reactions to basic, every day products. However, most who suffer from this skin complication are quite prone to developing acne - mild to severe.
Treating Sensitive Skin and Acne
There are many different products that one may purchase when it comes to treating acne that is a direct result of sensitive skin. However, it is absolutely vital to understand that not all acne products will be appropriate for every single person with this issue. Just as we are not created equally, these over-the-counter skin care treatments are not created equally. No one person should assume that just because a product worked for one that it should work for them. There are many different reasons why this type of situation occurs. These possibilities are listed below:
o First, we are all different. This means that each of us have a different chemistry when it comes to our skin. While skin is basically the same all in all, we all have different pore sizes, our skin oils produce at different rates, and we all consume different types of diets. All of these factors can play an important role in whether or not we have sensitive skin that is acne prone.
o Secondly, we are all exposed to many different environmental conditions. One may be exposed to a certain chemical while working, while other may be subjected to complex atmospheric pollution. One person may reside in a cool climate, while another may live in an area that is relatively humid. Weather and environmental conditions may play a vital role when it comes to the overall sensitivity of our skin.
o Third, we all use different types of products on our skin. These products include cosmetics, cleansers, creams, moisturizers, peels, and more. We all have the potential to react in many different ways when exposed to certain chemicals and products such as soaps that we clean with, shampoos that we use, and even products that we use to clean our clothes with!
As you can see, we live in a world full of diversity. This is why it is often difficult to discover an effective acne treatment that is suitable for everyone. When trying to discover an acne solution for sensitive skin, it is very important to set up an appointment with a licensed dermatologist. These individuals will carefully evaluate the complications that you are facing in order to determine the best treatment choice for your particular skin type, as well as one that will be compatible with the many things that you are exposed with.
Diet and Natural Treatments
While each of us differs in many ways, there is one thing that holds true - a diet and natural treatments can be extremely beneficial when you suffer from sensitive skin and acne. When possible, it is always considered appropriate to consume raw, whole foods that are cultivated in a natural manner. This means that harsh and potentially harmful chemicals and pesticides were not used when processing foods in gardens and on farms. You will be consuming the purest foods with no impurities that can result in skin outbreaks. Furthermore, consuming natural waters can also be extremely beneficial in treating this type of acne. Seeing that the oils and other substances that keep the skin intact are created by water, it is only appropriate that the more water you consume, the better. Furthermore, using clean, fresh water to clean the skin - with no harmful chemicals - can also be relatively productive when dealing with sensitive skin and acne.
Conclusion
Sensitive skin and acne has proven to be quite a challenge to many individuals across the nation. It is actually one of the most common skin conditions that many face. However, it is quite possible to resolve this problem by working with a professional dermatologist and focusing on a healthy diet of raw, whole foods that are cultivated in an organic manner. Furthermore, consuming a steady amount of pure water and cleansing with straight water and no chemicals can also provide relief to acne sufferers who have sensitive skin!

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal skinned beauties and oily skinned beauties sure can give it a shot for sure. I being dry skinned need to apply it at least thrice consecutively. I need to reapply after about 3-4 hours and that is a bummer especially if I am wearing makeup on top. I hate to re-touch my moisturiser cause it means that I have to wipe away my blush, re-apply the moisturiser and then reapply my blush. Not nice :(

But is seriously is soothing and totally makes my skin glow and look nourished and hydrated.

Image of the Product

Oooohhss And Aaaahhsss!!
1. It gets absorbed immediately and does not leave a greasiness on the face.
2.  Has a very soft and soothing fragrance that lingers on for the whole day!
3. Does not cause any reactions or allergies.
4. If it is mild for a baby then it really couldn't be harsh on your skin!
5. Very easily available in all general as well as medical stores.

Ouches!!
1. Needs reapplying after 3-4 hours.
2. A bit on the expensive side

Price
It costs INR 90/- for 100 ml

Would I Recommend?
I sure would recommend it to people with normal skin hands down! It could even prove to be a boon for oily skinned beauties... Dry skinned beauties if you don't mind reapplying your moisturiser after every 4 hours then you have found yourself a winner but only for Summers! It could in no way battle Winter's dryness!

Thin layer of skin on the eye area is also due to low oil glands (sebaceous glands). These oil glands function to keep the moisture in the eye skin area. This little oil glands will cause the skin to dry eye easy. In addition, the area around the eye also has few hair follicles that are useful to protect the surrounding area.

REVIEW: Ponds White Beauty Daily Spot-less Lightening Day Cream with SPF 20

Nope! I am not trying to get fair ;) I like my complexion the way it is, if I could I would have tried to become more "Orange" in pati's words. If you are wondering what Orange is then pati calls complexions of actresses like Eva Mendez, Halle Berry, Salma Hayek, Rihanna as Orange and well that is my favorite skin tone... Ha ha... You have got to hear pati and I talking... We have our own "language" for everything and we refer to things in our own code language LOL... It's like when we were in school and all the girls used to use the "P" language...

Ok so how many of you know about the "P" language? I have changed 13 schools in my life and I have come to realise that the much coveted "P" language was used only in convent schools... Yup! I swear it was like that :D I think I am digressing... Coming back to my quest to not become fair...

Now you all will say that I am contradicting myself when I say that I don't want to become fair but I am still reviewing a whitening/lightening cream! Ha ha.. I actually received it from a PR and well I felt obligated to use it and hence review it :)

I am essentially a Ponds Face Wash girl! I love and I mean seriously love their face washes! I have tried other brands but I keep coming back to the Pond's ones... In creams I have only used the Ponds Body Lotion that used to come when we were like really young and were in school. I really used to like it especially cause of it's fragrance and oily-ness :) Yup I am a sucker for oily body lotions and creams :) Then I grew up and tried their Tinted Moisturiser and well I hated it! I know I know its a cult favorite amongst most beauty bloggers but I found it very drying...

Then they sent me this cream...

CONS
Well let me tell you it does what it says but it is so drying that I will advise all dry skin beauties to stay away from it... It would be perfect for Oily skinned ladies and Normal skin beauties could also make it work for them! But if you have dry skin then beware you will not like it for sure!
Another con of this product is that it tends to create a whitish cast on your face. While applying the cream you need to take small amounts and actually blend it in your skin like a foundation :(

PROS
Now the good thing about this cream is that it visibly lightens your imperfections and seriously evens out your skin tone! I was using it for almost a week when I went to Mumbai to visit my parents... I took a Volvo at 8:30 pm from Pune, reached Mumbai at 12:30 midnight... With my motion sickness issues, no makeup, disheveled hair I looked like a mess but the moment the driver took my bags and I entered the vehicle my mom gushed "Zum you look so flawless!". Yup I swear those were her words... My first reaction was that the Ponds people called up my mom and told her I am using this product, then when saneness came to me I realised that the Ponds people don't have my parent's number, they just have my address :P LOL! But yes then I started observing my skin more closely and realised that my skin was evening out and I did have a brightness to my face. No, not glow but brightness. Remember, a glow comes only when your skin is adequately hydrated!

I still sometimes use this cream in the morning before office but only when I have applied Olive Oil the night before. I don't want my skin drying out just because I want it to be "flawless" :P Now that sounded quite contradictory really!

Overall Rating:
Oily Skin: 9/10
Normal Skin: 8/10
Dry Skin: 6/10

Product sent by PR for review. My Review has not been affected by anyone and is honest and true. Pinky Promise ;)

I do not feel desperate to maintain the appearance of beautiful skin, because with the right lifestyle, has been ample evidence that women aged over 40's with the skin is still smooth.

According Riani Susanto, ND, CT, naturopathy doctor and specialist detoxification, aging of the skin is partly due to contamination of toxic substances in the skin cells, which lack of oxygen circulation, mengerutnya skin tissue due to lack of fatty acids, and muscle mass. Frown lines and rough skin texture is a sign of poor levels of collagen beneath the skin.

  • Detoxify the liver by drinking carrot juice / bits / cucumber once a week.
  • Drink warm water mixed with lemon juice. Dregs of lemon can be rubbed gently on the dark spots on the skin of the face.
  • Consumption wholefood supplement containing hyaluronic acid and / or collagen booster and silica that can help regenerate skin cells aging.
  • Use a serum to add moisture and help repair the collagen beneath the skin.
  • Apply sunscreen to avoid sun radiation, because the more often we are exposed to sunlight, the faster the aging or dull skin.
  • Leave the habit of smoking or avoid secondhand smoke. Avoid stress and get enough sleep at night.
