Lacto Calamine Deep Cleansing Face Wash Review { Normal to Oily Skin}

I am here with a face wash review again :) It's going to be the Lacto Calamine one which I purchased long back. Oops! I didn't purchase it, got free for Lacto Calamine Classic Moisturizer of 34 Rs. Previously I reviewed the Lacto Calamine Classic Moisturizer and this is the first time I am reviewing face wash from this range. The main thing in the pack's front side is that this face wash is for "Normal to Oily Skins" and is made of Vitamin E and Raspberry extracts. There is another variant in this face wash range called Moisturizing face wash which is specially formulated for Dry to normal skin. I'll review it some other day and now let's move on to the review of Raspberry face wash now.

My View About this Face Wash with Ratings

The Packaging

It comes in a see through pack which is very colorful and cute. As this is a see through type tube, it is easier to find how much is left in the tube.The cap of 30 ml pack is normal screw typed as you see in the pic, the 50 ml one comes with a flip flop cap. Both are sturdy, easy to use and thus the packaging is travel friendly. No leaking and the squeeze is in control so that we can take required quantity without any trouble.

Consistency, Colour and Fragrance

This face wash is gel based and of the color of yummy raspberries (You can clarify in the pic). It's not too thick, a little thinner than normal consistency. The fragrance was heavy and still I liked it very much as it was yummy to smell. Fragrance has become both pro and con of this product as some will love this fragrance and sensitive noses may not like it.

Rating: 4/5 (-1 for the heavy fragrance, it would be better if it is light)

My Experience of Usage and Its Results:

The very first time I opened the pack, I felt the fragrance was too heavy, but I loved it a lot as it smells like a yummy raspberry. To say about lathering, it lathers very well with even small quantity, hence a small squeeze is enough for every wash. The lather is very smooth and creamy. The face wash leaves a slippery feel with less water hence I need lots and lots of water to rinse it off, this might be disgusting for few people. As the face wash is formulated for oily to normal skins, it has no moisturizing effect at all. It will suit oily skins well in all the seasons and normal skins in summers, not sure about it though. Dry skins stay away from this face wash or else your skin will be striped of moisture. Other than these things, this face wash helped me to cleanse my skin well and get rid of tiny pores with regular usage. A moisturizer is strongly recommended after every use.

PROS

1. Price. It's very affordable for the quantity
2. Lathers good, cleanses away dirt, oiliness and impurities well.
3. Best for usage in oily skins.
4. Did not break me out and no other side effects. Hence, Safer to use.
5. As it lathers well,very little quantity is enough for every wash hence it lasts longer.
6. The fragrance is very yummy and surely will be a treat for those who loves heavy fruit smell.
7. Controls excess oil secretion for long hours in oily skins. 

CONS

1. Again the same Fragrance, it might be a plus for people who loves it but sensitive noses should stay away because I feel that the fragrance is too heavy.
2. Strips of moisture, thus dry skins feel tight. This face wash is not for dry skins in any season.
3. Lots of water needed to rinse off completely or else leaves a slippery feel behind.

My Recommendation: 

• Oily skins, Get it for sure. It leaves your skin squeaky clean without oiliness.
• Normal skins, this might or might not suit you, try with a light moisturizer. 
• Dry Skins and Sensitive noses stay away!

Overall Rating of the Product: 3.5/5

Will I repurchase again?: Sure, but not sure about winters. This yummy smelling face wash will be in my shopping list on summers.

Lakme Fruit Blast Strawberry Face Wash Review

Sorry Sorry and Sorryyy readers :( I was a bit busy with my studies and hence couldn't blog for past few days. Received many emails as love that many of you missed me, thanks :) I am so lucky to have blogging friends and readers like you who miss my posts. Next time when I am about to disappear, I wont fail to inform you all, please forgive me this time. Sorry buddies! Let us move on to today's product review.

  Previously I reviewed Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Face wash here and this time I am going to review Lakme’s fruit blast strawberry face wash. This is the second face wash of Lakme brand I have used till now. I loved the perfect radiance face wash lot as it suited perfectly for my skin type. You can read its detailed review here. The reason why I preferred this one to use next is, its strawberry flavor. This has become my very favorite and best smelling fruit face wash for its very delicious, sweet fruity smell. Usually I’ll describe about a product’s fragrance in “my view” topic but this time said it in introduction itself, just guess how sweet it is then! Let’s now move on to the detailed review.

My View About this Product

As I mentioned above, it’s smell and just it’s smell took me away. I loved it very much more than the fragrance of any other face wash. As I am a great strawberry lover, I enjoyed the pleasant natural smell of strawberries in it, but not sure how it will be for you if you are not crazy about strawberries much. Okay I think that I am boring you with the “fragrance” thing much :p Now we can discuss about its packaging, colour and texture. It comes in a pack as every other Lakme’s face wash comes ,a tube with a flip cap which is firm and travel friendly. But this face wash’s packaging is not at all opaque like the perfect radiance one, so it is much more easier to find out how much is left in the tube. I think I need not say about the colour, you seen strawberries right? This face wash is the same of that colour. 

       It is gel based and has tiny wax beads in it which gave me a feel that I added a pinch of sugar to my face wash. I don’t know how much it helps in exfoliating but the face wash claims that it is in order to exfoliate dead skin. But no offence, it did not irritate my skin at all. Another special thing about this face wash is, it gives a cooling effect once applied onto my facial skin and work up with lather. It really does, I felt an icy cold effect on my facial skin. You cannot expect a creamy lather with this face wash, it lathers pretty normal. People who love to use heavy foaming face washes may feel little disappointed with this thing, but it does lather normal. It washes off without any slippery feel, yet it takes more water to get washed off. I am using it for past few weeks, it softened my skin, does the cleansing job well as a good face wash, no side effects at all, no breakouts and helped my open pores to get shrink a bit. This face wash doesn’t moisturize, nourish or something but didn’t strip off moisture at all. I didn’t feel any tightness; the only thing I felt is softness. Yes! I am really happy with this face wash a lot, feeling that lakme suits me well and good. Take a try if you a need yummy fruity smelling mild face wash.

PROS

1. Fragrance! It smells like mashed juicy and yummy strawberries.
2. It softens skin with regular use and minimizes pores a bit.
3.  It doesn’t strip off skin’s natural moisture, so no tightness, no itchy feel after washing face.
4.   It contains exfoliating beads, which removes dead skin cells up to an extent.
5. The fresh feel it delivers after every wash which tempts to wash face often.
6. Made of natural fruit ingredients, so it does no harm to your facial skin and therefore no side effects.
7. The cooling effect which it gives while washing face, I think this is the reason for pore minimization.
8. The price is affordable for the quantity and hence it is worth buying.
9. The product comes in a see through tube with a flip cap, so the packaging makes it very good. It is easy to get to know how much is left in the tube and is travel friendly due to its firm flip cap.

CONS

1. No moisturizing effect. So, the facial skin surely needs a moisturizer after every wash, especially in dry winters. Dry skins may feel a little tight in winters, so go for nourishing face washes.
2. It lathers less, so there is a need for a big squeeze; hence the product gets over sooner than other foamy face washes. It last for about 20 to 25 days for me. Its not a big con at all while seeing the fragrance and other goodness :D
3. No more cons! It is a nice fruit face wash for those who expect freshness, mildness and love fruits. No harsh chemicals and thus makes us feel natural with a yummy fragrance while every face wash. I love it! Worth a try!

My Recommendation:  Oily and normal skins go for it! Dry people will need a deep nourishing one. It is going to be your HG face wash if you love strawberries, as same as me :P

My Rating: 4/5 (-1 for less moisturizing effect and less lathering effect)

Will I Repurchase: Sure! Why not? I will purchase mainly for the yummy strawberry fragrance.

Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Face Wash Review

Lakme is a well known famous brand for skincare ranges and makeup cosmetics. Today I am about to review one of their face wash from the skincare range and it is Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Face Wash. I got this as a prize in a contest conducted by Lakme called Lakme Fruit Blast Fest Contest. Till now, I have heard many good things and good reviews about this face wash and so tried it first from the five fruit blast face washes I got, to give my review and suggestions. As this face wash works good on my skin, I have also picked up a fairness day cream from this perfect radiance range and surely you can expect a review of it soon :) Now let's move on to my review.

What does the Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Face Wash Claims

Ingredients such as white lily and sacred lotus has been specially designed to deep cleanse the skin and deliver flawless radiant glow. It's deep cleansing action delivers flawless soft and radiant skin.

Apply the fairness cream in gentle circular motion. Rinse of with clean water. For best results, use along with Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Day Cream. For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. In case the product get into your eyes, wash thoroughly with plenty of clean water.

My View About Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Face Wash

It was one among the 5 face washes I won in the contest. Because of the cute packaging and pleasant smell I decided to try it first. The pack comes in a lovely pink and opaque tube with silver printed letters and a sacred lotus symbol in it. It has a flip cap which makes it easier to use and travel friendly, as it is firm and good. The colour of the face wash is milkish light pink and the consistency is cream like, very smooth and soft. It is not runny at all, thick enough for a face wash. The very first time I squeezed the face wash in my hand, I smelt it and fell in love with the smell. It is very true that it has a mild lotus smell and totally the smell is very flowery which no one will hate. 

     As it is creamy, I thought that it might make my skin look greasy or oily but it never does that. I cleansed my face without any slippery feel and oiliness.. Wait..!! The good news is that it doesn't dry my skin too :) It was really a miracle, and I am in love with this perfect radiance face wash from Lakme. It is really suitable for all skin types, especially in winter. If your skin is super oily, then avoid it in summers. Mistakenly, I squeezed huge quantity at the first use, it lathers very much. The foam is very creamy, that you would love to wash your face often. It also washes out easily without any need of much water. A very little amount is enough to cleanse your face and neck. After washing my face, it instantly brings out the brightness and my skin felt softer too. Within 7 days of usage, it evened out my skin a bit and also helped in fading scars. This is going to be my all time favorite face wash hereafter! Worth every squeeze :P

PROS

1. Affordable for the good worth
2. A very little amount is enough to wash entire face and neck, so it lasts longer.
3. Mild and Lovely flower like fragrance which makes face feel fresh.
4. It lathers very much and did the cleansing work perfectly without leaving any residue or oiliness.
5. It doesn't dry out the skin even in winters, makes skin softer with regular use.
6. Instantly brightens skin without any slippery feel.
7. Travel friendly, as it comes with a firm flip model cap.

CONS

I don't like to list out any cons for this awesome product, but few odd things I felt are..

1. Not suitable for super oily skins in summers.
2. If the tube is not opaque, it would have been easier in finding how much is felt in the tube.

My Rating: 5/5 (Yippee... No minus. It does what it claims)

My Recommendation: Shop it for sure. I am saying from my experience, worth every wash. It became my HG face wash within a month :)

Will I repurchase it: Sure. Every time!
