What To Wear: To A Euro2012 Match at a Sports Bar :)

Hello everyone :) You all know that I am not a cricket fan... Rather my love and loyalty lies towards football and with the Euro2012 going on, the pati and I have our lives revolving around football mostly :) And so it was very logical to have our pre-anniversary celebrations at a Sports Bar watching the historical England-France match :) Now the match turned out to be quite a dud with it ending as a draw but it was fun nonetheless especially after a couple of Tequila shots ;) Have I ever told you guys how much I abhor Vodka and worship Tequila? Nope I don't think so :P

So anyways, this is what I wore... I finally got to wear my Mango dress and it seemed quite apt too as I was rooting for France and Blue is France's color :D he he ha ha ;)

Dress: Mango
Peep Toes: Local Shoe Boutique

Make-up wise I did a crease cut look with a hint of blue in the crease and kept my lips nude since a sports bar isn't the place to wear a face of full makeup now is it? ;)

Eye-shadows: MAC Ricepaper, MAC Folie and L'Oreal Azure Blonde Blue Eye shadow
Lipstick: MAC Taupe
Liner: Maybelline Gel Liner
Mascara: MAC Zoom Lash Mascara
Blush: Colorbar Blush in Floral Fucsia

I loved the overall minimalistic look :) Pati said I look like a kid with very hot legs :P Then he drew a similarity between the lethal Japanese chick in school uniform in Kill Bill and moi ;) But then I don't believe him, I know he was just trying to earn some brownie points ;)

P.S. Stay tuned for Anniversary outfit and my cake pics ;)

What To Wear: To A Blogger's Meet...

Not many of you know that we had a mini Pune Beauty Bloggers Meet this Sunday and though neither of us took any pics I thought I would still tell you all about it :) 5 of us met up i.e. Parul, Zara, Pranali, Parita and I at the MAC store in Park Plaza Koregaon Park where we spent almost 2 hours, trying out each and every eye shadow and lipstick shades on display :P LOL! The SAs know us very well by now and just let us be on our own trying out stuff and experimenting :D It's almost like a second home to us now :D he he...

Then Parul left us cause she had guests at home and the rest of us proceeded towards the food court to fuel up ourselves for the next course of the journey :D We next went to SGS Mall on MG Road and scoured through Staples to pick up stuff for reorganizing, then raided TBS and finally Westside :D What all did I buy? You'll need to wait for the next post for that :P

What To Wear: To A Sunday Brunch

A Girl Should Be Two Things: Classy & Fabulous
                                                                                                                 --- Coco Chanel

And that is exactly what I always try to be whenever I either go shopping for clothes or whenever I have to dress for any occasion...

This Saturday I went out to lunch with one of my besties' "Manu Sharma" to this really classy Italian Restaurant called Little Italy and it did call for some fabulous dressing...

I paired a champagne colored satin pencil skirt with a black sleeveless top that had rosettes around the neckline :) I wore black suede peep toe slingbacks with the outfit :) With it I took a velvet maroon pouch with another pretty rosette on it :)

My Look...

I tried keeping the makeup simple, nude and subtle and this is what I did...
Please ignore the "idiotic" expression :P
I applied:
1. Maxfactor Second Skin Liquid Foundation in "Golden"
2. MUFE star powder shade 940 wet on my eye lids
3. Blended it with MAC Texture in the crease
4. MAC ricepaper on the brow bone.
5. Colorbar Blush in Floral Fucsia on the cheeks
6. MAC Matte Lipstick in "Taupe"
7. Colorbar Star Shine Lip Gloss in "Chai"

Hope you guys liked my look :)

REVIEW & LOTD: MAC Matte Lipstick in Taupe

I am sure you all have come across products that have shade names that have nothing to do with the real shade! My latest run-in with such a product was when I went on a quest to find the perfect nude lippy for me at MAC and ran into MAC Taupe. Now Taupe as you all know can be described as a grey-ish brown, while the MAC lippy Taupe is a pretty yellow-ish brown which proved to be a MLBB shade for me :)
MAC Taupe is a Matte finish lipstick and is a gorgeous almost nudish shade for those with pigmented lips. When I use it, it tends to disappear on my lips and leaves an even looking nude lip. I find it perfect for office and super awesome when I pair it with a smokey eye. It looks great when wore as is or with a gloss on top.

It has a decent staying power and stays on me for about 4-5 hours.

LOTD:

Ooooohhss And Aaaahsss!!!
1. Even though it is a matte finish, it is not drying.
2. I love the signature MAC "choco-caramelly" fragrance of MAC lippies.
3. The shade is a perfect MLBB for me :)
4. It is transfer proof
5. Does not cause me any reactions or allergies.

Ouches!!
1. The price is a bit steep.

Price:
Like all MAC lippies, it costs INR 990/-

Repurchase?
Definitely! Its the only MLBB shade I have found till date!

Would I Recommend?
If you have a medium or dusky complexion, then this would be perfect as a nude lippy. If you have pigmented lips then this would be perfect for as an MLBB shade. For others it might look a bit to brown!

Overall Rating:
8.5/10

Weekend HAUL: MAC Cosmetics...

It had been a while I had shopped at MAC (1.25 months to be precise) and well I was waiting for my new salary so that I could just go and raid MAC ;) And well, since I do not like to waste time, I was at MAC on 31st March i.e. yesterday ;) Best part? Apart from the haul of course was that my bestie was with me (I finally bullied her into buying a MAC) and then I met fellow bloggers, Zara and Parul there too :) What a way to start a weekend right? :P

So what did I buy? Well the first thing I wanted was the MAC Lip Erase thingy... But was greatly disappointed :( The MUA applied it on me and then whichever lippy I tried over it would invariably settle into the lines :( She did say that it would need a prior exfoliation of my lips to give best results... But then I wasn't paying a huge amount for something that I wasn't really sure if it would work on me :( So... I did not buy it! :P

Then I moved onto the quest of finding the perfect nude lippy for me :P Yes those who are with me on FB and Twitter would recollect that I was taking suggestions from you all on your fav MAC nude lippy... Well I tried out all of them... Hug Me, Half N Half, Cream In Your Coffee, Teddy etc but alas they all made me look so pale and washed out sighhhh... So I finally tried out "Taupe"... Now if you have seen my wish list on the right side of this page, you will see that I had listed "Taupe" in it and well when I put it on, it was my MLBB lippy... Never knew my lips were so pigmented! :P

So anyways, enough of my rambling and here are the pics :)

Btw, the MAC MUA "Deenika" was quite taken with my eyes ;) Hehe *happy me*... She tried a couple of eye makeup tricks on my eyes and then finally asked me if I would be willing to come around to the store when free and she would like trying a few strokes on my eyes ;) Can you even imagine how flattered I felt?! ;) Hehehehehe... Neeraj Navare also told me that he would love to do some makeup on my eyes and now Deenika said it too... I am Cloud 9 *obviously* ;) *giggle giggle*
