Acne - More Than Just A Spot

As a disease, acne is not fatal or life-threatening in any way or form. Anyone who has acne should not be worried about dying from the disease because it does not work that way. However, one thing that can make acne a person cripple his self-respect. So even if it has no fatal complications, acne can still cause a lot of misery for the people who are affected. Most of the people who suffer from acne are teenagers who are in school or college. They get from their peers because of the spots that they mocked on their faces, and that leads directly to them with low self-confidence.

However, this can be solved by using anti-acne creams or in a cosmetic surgical procedure. The latter option is the most effective, but at a high price.

What Causes Acne?
Acne is a skin disorder that is characterized by the occurrence and formation of red pimples. The disease is not fatal, nor does it have any fatal complications, but it can cause a lot of problems with self-esteem in people. It also has the tendency to target other areas of the body besides the face. The areas in question are the back and the chest. Acne can be a pretty horrible site to behold, and who a severe case of acne is easy to who disgusted his / her reflection in the mirror.

So what exactly causes acne and how can we fix this situation?
To start off, the acne is caused by a particular substance called sebum, which is an oil found in the skin. This oil causes our skin pores are clogged and the resulting infection is acne. Our hormones are the main reason why our bodies produce more and more sebum. Teens usually have a large increase in hormones, which is why they are the ones that are commonly affected by acne is to get. Women who are in their 40s and 50s are also prone to acne as their hormones fluctuate during this time.

Fortunately, almost all forms of acne can now be treated or controlled, thanks to some great advances in medicine. Mild cases can be resolved by observing proper skin care and the use of anti-acne creams that do not require a prescription. However, those who suffer from severe cases of acne, get help from a professional.

In short, the adoption of acne boils down to our hygiene practice. So this means that the more we take care of our skin, the less the chances are of us get to take acne....
